Job Title: PV designer / Drafter

Location: DC area – remote with 10% travel

Salary : 65k – 80k Annual – Base

What You’ll Do

• Engineer & Design commercial & utility scale, ground and roof mount solar PV & energy storage systems. Typically 5mw and greater
• Assist in decision making when it comes to inverter and module placing while supporting interconnection efforts.
• Oversee junior engineers’ design of projects & also complete designs when needed (30%) using software’s such as PVsyst, AutoCAD, Helioscope etc.
• Understand and identify requirements for the project, based on utility interconnect agreements, code agreements, etc.

Qualifications

• Has 2+ years of experience working on the technical side for engineering items. AutoCAD + PVsyst and/or helioscope experience preferred. A background of completing designs for Solar projects desired.
• Has 1 year of experience running Energy Modelling analysis using PVSyst and is cost conscious.
• Has 1– 2 years of experience supporting the business development and/or operations teams.
