Documentation Specialist, Editor

As an Documentation Specialist in the editor role, you will help keep Omniverse Learning content up to date, easy to read and effective. Because this specific role deals primarily with editing documentation, a strong command of the English language is required. In addition, You will be interacting directly with other team members, content developers, and a range of people in scientific fields to help them develop content to facilitate understanding in usage and best practices. Typically, this requires development of clear, concisely written documentation, videos and content examples. The successful candidate will have a passion for imparting knowledge to users on how to succeed in Omniverse.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Work closely with engineers and artists to write, edit and organize our API documentation
• Develop learning courses (workflows) in video and written forms
• Engage on forums to help users with issues.
• Evaluate current content, keep pace with technical developments on a variety of fronts.
• Developments and prioritize into useful clearly written textual workflow documentation.
• Document and communicate best practices.
• Develop Graphics for Learning

What We Need To See

• 6+ years of experience writing technical documentation
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Proficient use of the English language (Secondary languages are a bonus).
• A penchant for writing easy to understand concisely written documentation
• High attention to detail and a passion for crafting a phenomenal user experience
• Excellent communication, partnership, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and think creatively
• Written and Video examples of training content.

Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd

• Experience working on large software projects as part of an agile team and using continuous integration.
• Background writing manuals or documentation for complex products
• Experience crafting Video Instructions related to software products
• Experience in the interactive simulation domain
• Strong knowledge of USD or MDL
• Familiarity with bug tracking tools such as JIRA
• Strong authoring experience in DCC tools.
• Familiarity with Graphic Tools (Snagit, Photoshop, Illustrator etc)
• Experience using NVIDIA Omniverse
• Knowledge of NVIDIA GeForce series, software products (GeForce Experience, GeForce Now, GameWorks) and technologies
