Position Description

The Dialog Designer will work on labeling clusters of sentences using internally developed workflows and tools. This role will need to learn our client’s business by searching the web and formulating descriptive labels per cluster of sentences.


  • Work with data from multiple clients across industries.
  • Review clusters of sentences and use tools to label topics, sub– topics and contextual questions.
  • Create comprehensive, structured and consistent taxonomy of labels.
  • Very careful and diligent with customer data, especially personally identifiable information (PII).\
  • Focus for extended periods of time to achieve goals.
  • Change tasks quickly as the project focus progresses.
  • Meet productivity and quality goals.

Dialog designers may also be required to be the Point of Contact (POC) for specific projects. This involves project managing all deliverables for the given use cases, ensuring that other analysts on the team are completing assigned tasks and working with engineering / TechOps teams to surface technical issues.

Dialog designers, depending on their individual strengths and abilities, may also be required to participate in specific side projects. This involves respecting timelines, working either solo or in a team pod and ensuring the completion of the task.

Additionally, Dialog Designers may be required to be a “buddy” for new analysts joining the team. New analysts will shadow buddies and use buddies as a resource for questions.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bilingual in Canadian English and French.
  • Language related education (linguistics, translation, journalism, teaching) or technical education (engineering, computer/information science) can be all considered. Coordination experience is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills as well as comprehension.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Commitment to achieving project goals.
  • Ability to work alone and on a team.
  • Proactive involvement in improvement of policies and procedures.
  • Involved logical thinking and decision making.
  • Solution– oriented attitude.
  • Problem– solving and analysis skills will be a must – Must be able to multitask.
  • Full– time availability.
  • Eligibility to work in Quebec, Canada.

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience with IT Support/Help Desk
  • Linguistic skills – knowledge of linguistic terms and concepts
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
